A little jaunt to Malibu saw head high reeling rights and beating sun. Wyatt, William, Timmy and I crushed a couple cold ones in the man-van.
Throwing Darts and Points
This summer I'm working with Dart DJs. We get to play some pretty epic venues, while keeping it vibe-y at some of California nicest weddings and events. I work with my bud Wyatt aka very stylish man behind Roller Radio.

Now here's Wyatt's photo shoot I gave him while we were waiting at The Adamson House in Malibu.
Mr. and Mrs. Stevens
Best Man is a strange term. Maid of Honor makes at least a little bit of sense. But Best Man—it would seem like that's just usually wrong. Regardless, and totally against his better judgement, Ross Stevens asked me to be his Best. Ross Stevens married Liza Dean at the Wilmington Arboretum Sunday, May 24th and I was honored to be a part of it.
April on film
From sailing off the coast of Malibu to getting lost in the rocks in the high desert of Joshua Tree, April was weird. Weird is a term I use to describe good times and bad times all rolled into one experience. In the end the bad is only attributed to money, the good attached to fun, love, and friendship. The two are sometimes mutually exclusive.
Seemingly Distant Memories I Can't Remember Anyway
Red Dog's Nightclub, Wrightsville Beach NC—what a legendary place it is. I had a brief but fabled tenure as staff photo/design/socialmedia guy there and I've just come accross a grip of silly photos. The folly of youth is thinking we're more youthful than we are, using it as a crutch.
Cinco de Mayo
What better way to spend a Tuesday then meet and assist photographer Roberto Valenzuela. His work is outstanding; he's won more rangefinder awards than Slater's won CTs. He's an ambassador for PhaseOne and I got to have a look at, in his words "the Rolls Royce of cameras". Certainly excited for the potential to work for this guy.

The work of Roberto Valenzuela I had the privilege to assist.
portraits from june
“Tent town ruled. I woke up in a tent.”
We set up some portraits of my friends during a most epic birthday weekend. Combo natural/artificial was really working in this moment.
Rush Midnight at Golden Box
The boys at The Continental
I was just hoping Christopher Walken puns and decor would be everywhere. Waldo, Two Shoes, Hoff and Dave Nada kept it grooving in DTLA's The Continental Club.

Olive & Thyme
Hey friends—James Ray and I did photos for a lovely restaurant's website!
Their name is Olive & Thyme and they are the oft-lauded gourmet purveyor in Burbank, frequented by the stars. Within footsteps from the Warner Brothers campus and Disney, the food and goods are outstanding.
